Its strange waking up this morning, knowing that Foxx has moved on. I just talked to him to catch up, a few days ago. I shared a lot of time with Jason in my life, building and impacting, before we were adults, for the people who loved music like we did. His angle, and perspective was a hard to argue angle, every time, and it went straight to the heart. A strong powerful person that was spiritual with knowing it was necessary to unfold, and strengthen at all times. He cared deeply about his heritage family and friends. I think everybody who knew him, knows his impact and style. We met somewhere between 11 and 14, we explored music together all day and all night. Soul, rock, funk, folk, and Jazz, the music of the instruments. When he played jazz music on Mr. Lewis JBL system I never wanted to leave, he used to pull me away to go back to practice or go back outside. We put hearts and minds in that place all the time. Its where we got the freedom on our instruments. So many, many memories growing up, migrating from Michigan to N.Y.C. New Jersey, to Atlanta. Wow! I really miss you you man. I can go on and on right now. But I think to celebrate your life is the only thing left to do. Trust me I don’t have to tell your story its in my nature already with the man upstairs where you are right now. The movie hasn’t come out yet but we know it is, The Story That Is Yet to Be Told. To the Lewis family be Bold and be Strong my blessings with him are with you in this time for strength. Oh Understand me brother I know we are just secrets in time.
